Holy Moly!! Well, after a long summer away, all of our 5 sites are back up and running. We have had all of our Meet and Greet Activities take place and all of your caseworkers are currently working diligently to make new quality matches. We are very excited about this year, and cannot wait to see the amazing friendships that develop.
Many of our mentors and mentees are returning from last year. Here is what one match had to say about their experience of returning to see their mentees after the long summer away!

Alicia and Chelsey - Established January 2013
"It all started out for me, Chelsey, wanting to get volunteer hours for university. Next thing we knew, Alicia was asked if she wanted to be a part of BBBS of Winnipeg, and now here we are! We see each other once per week, and our activities range from baking cookies, to making t-shirts to just going outside and enjoying the nice weather while playing a new sport. We both look REALLY forward to each session we get together. It's lucky that we were chosen for each other, because now that we have each other, we couldn't imagine life any other way - our relationship just makes sense. The best part is that for an hour each week, we can both forget about whatever is going on outside of that hour and be ourselves together, doing activities that we often wouldn't be doing if it wasn't for the other person. No matter how circumstances change in years to come, we have both agreed that this friendship will evolve with the times and we will go through it all together. Can't wait."
